You have earned your way here.
You have spent years building a career that most people cannot easily describe — crossing languages, cultures, and institutions, in and outside of Japan. Arch Global was built for professionals like you. This is the community that understands where you have been, and can open the right doors when you are ready.
How Membership Works
What happens when you join.
-
Fill out a short form. Tell us about your background, what you are open to, and how you want to engage. It takes about five minutes.
-
Every application is read by a person, not a filter. We are looking for significant global career experience and a genuine connection to Japanese business culture. We typically respond within three to five business days.
-
If there is a fit, we reach out directly to welcome you and schedule a brief introductory call. This call is informal — we want to understand your situation and make sure Arch Global is useful to you.
-
We build your anonymised profile together. You review it, edit it, and approve it before it is ever shared with an employer. You are in full control of what is visible and when.
-
You start receiving relevant opportunities, invitations to events, and access to the broader member network. From this point, you decide how active you want to be.
Your Profile:
What employers see. What stays private.
Your privacy is not an afterthought — it is how the platform is designed. Every profile is anonymised by default. Employers see your career arc, seniority, and what you are open to. They do not see your name, your exact employers, or the specific institutions you attended.
You are always in control: You can update your preferences, pause your visibility, or withdraw from the community at any time.
No questions asked.
What employers see:
Your industry and functional area
Years of experience and seniority level
The tier of institutions in your background — not their names
Geography — the city you are based in
What you are open to — full-time, part-time, consulting, advisory
A short statement in your own words about what you are looking for
What stays private:
Your name
Your exact employer names
The specific schools you attended
Any information you have not approved

What Membership Looks Like
-
Relevant opportunities — not noise
Roles shared directly from our vetted employer partners. Full-time, part-time, consulting, and advisory positions — in Japan, the US, and worldwide. You tell us what you are open to, and we only share what matches.
-
Invitation-only events
Curated gatherings in-person or virtual. We cap attendance deliberately to keep the quality of conversation high. If you are based in New York, we host in-person events curated for the group. These are not networking events in the traditional sense. They are rooms where everyone understands where you have been.
-
Career support
For those who seek additional support — from salary benchmarking, negotiation techniques, how to position your global experience for a Japanese corporate audience, we can make introductions to relevant professionals for guidance. This is available to all members, not just those actively looking for a new role.
-
A community that gets it
Access to other members — people who have made the same crossing, in the same cities, at similar stages. The kind of peers who understand the specific complexity of operating between Japan and the world. Peer connections, informal mentorship, and conversations that are genuinely hard to have anywhere else.
The employers we work with are vetted. Not just listed.
-
They are building globally — not just hiring bilingually.
There is a difference between a company that needs a translator and a company that is serious about building an internationally capable leadership team. We only work with the latter.
-
They treat hiring as an investment, not a transaction.
We look for organizations that understand the long-term value of globally-experienced talent — and are prepared to offer the compensation, scope, and seniority that reflects it. Companies that are looking for a bargain are not a fit.
-
They have been honest with us about what they need.
We ask hard questions before we agree to work with anyone. Companies that give vague or evasive answers about scope, compensation, or decision-making authority do not make it through our process.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
You are still welcome. Many of our members join as community-only members — they want to stay connected, attend events, and be aware of what is available without actively job searching. When your situation changes, you are already in the room.
-
Full-time leadership roles in Japan and globally. Part-time and consulting engagements. Advisory and board seat appointments. We work with Japanese companies of all sizes — from large corporates expanding internationally to startups competing on a global stage.
-
We review applications individually. Nationality matters less than genuine cultural and professional connection to Japan. If you are fluent in Japanese business culture and have significant global career experience, we encourage you to apply.
-
You are in full control at all times. You can update your preferences, change what you are open to, pause your visibility entirely, or withdraw from the community.
-
You will receive our monthly newsletter with community updates and relevant market insights. Beyond that, we will only reach out when there is a specific opportunity or event that matches your stated preferences.
